Decided to let him get some extra rest and recovery time. Felt like they had the game in hand against a struggling LSU team. Backfire.

I’m not saying that a Florida win there would’ve necessarily gotten them in, but that along with last night’s performance would’ve given them an argument. I didn’t think that anyone would play within two touchdowns of Alabama all year.

Biggest coaching gaff in the last 10 years.

The cries from Jimbo Fisher probably have more merit.

Outside of that...they just looked unprepared vs LSU. The Pitts sitting was definitely dumb

That's exactly what they were doing. Anyone who argues otherwise is a fool. And this is why Dan Mullen will never be considered an elite coach. Elite coaches don't overlook opponents, no matter how inferior they might be.

It had no effect on anything in the grand scheme.

Cost them a game. That’s it.

Even if Pitts played Cox would’ve been able to contain him to a degree

Trask’s turnovers and their garbage defense cost them the game not to mention the shoe

Mulllen is an arrogant mother fricker with no self awareness.

Dude thought it was in the bag before we even kicked. No elite coach ever thinks that way.

I think that pretty well signaled what the mindset was for that Florida team. LSU had lost 2 in a row, got shithoused by Bama 55-17, sitting at 3-5, true freshman making his first start.

They were gonna show up and roll a bad LSU team and move on to Bama and didn't need to play Kyle Pitts to do it.

No it wouldn't.

A 2 loss team that didn't win their conference is never making the playoffs

Not as much as taking that timeout to go for 2 pt conversion at end of game yesterday.

Pitts abused the best secondary in CFB last night and the only reason it wasn’t worse was because Bama was holding him on every fricking play

I mean he could’ve done the same in that LSU game and I don’t see how it compensates for a pick six, two other turnovers and a defense that couldn’t stop a bunch of freshmen and walk ons
