In his first year in LA AD about to win a ring and finals MVP

Seems like yesterday when half this board was saying how fricked we were because we “gave up too much” “signing washed up vets” etc

Good times those were

I mean, it’s not ideal

Whatever, though. I feel like most people saw this possibility coming. It’s clear he was never going to do this in New Orleans, so getting a lot of pieces for him in a trade was the best option.

The next couple of weeks will be annoying, but I’ll just stay off Twitter.

Not really mad at all?

It was hard and emotional at the time with the way it went down.

But once it happened, it is what it is. Its long over. Good for him, he's an elite player.

I only care about what the Lakers look like in 2022 and beyond now, and what our own shitty franchise does with HC.

It is telling though that this is immediately where your thought process goes when you're 3 games away from winning a championship.

They should be mad at Dell Demps and the franchise as a whole. They squandered the gift they were given with AD.

Plus they’re mad because now they’ve got a foot shorter even more injury prone #1 pick.

We weren’t beating the Warriors and I actually liked our supporting cast for some of those years

Lebron wasn’t coming to NOLA

how happy can a bandwagon Louisiana Lakers fan be over a championship most of the country has tuned out on?

I could see a real fan still being happy about it. Just not a bandwagoner living in Louisiana, is the extent of your celebrating gloating on the internet? That's fun.

Honestly, not that mad at all, the trade was an abject failure for the Lakers without a title, while the Pelicans got a haul for a star that was going to leave anyway. Davis was also actively tanking his value and forcing a trade with the Lakers. Davis has been healthy so far, and hasn't left games with a hangnail, something that didn't happen with the Pelicans.

Brandon Ingram has proven to be the player that the Lakers thought they drafted #2, and Ball/Hart have both been good players thus far; while Hayes/NAW haven't been good, but shown signs of improvement. The draft picks are still completely unknown, and can range from late picks(probable) to early when Davis gets hurt and has to sit out a portion of the year.

I don't think you'll find a single Pels fan mad that we "traded" AD for Zion.

And Orlando squandered Shaq.
And Mil will squander Giannis.
And OKC lost KD and Russ.

Welcome to the NBA. Youll never resign these dudes a third time if you arent a Mt. Rushmore franchise

You from LA or is this one of those “I liked them as a kid and now I’m a lifelong fan” things?
