He’s miserable now, he’ll be suicidal when he actually retires.

So maybe he’ll die soon after, that would be a positive.

Bare minimum would be 4 more years (and that’s if things went downhill), I’d guess.

Realistically he probably sticks around for another 7-8, things don’t look like they are heading downhill

That being said, dynasties usually end in scandal, but this is an unprecedented run

We have a president pushing 80. If he can run the country, Saban can run Bama.

I'll die before he retires.

I'm 36.

Wouldn’t shock me at all to see him coach another 10 years

Yep. Given what he has setup and the lifestyle he can afford, he'll be light-years ahead of Paterno.

I’d love to see him retire and take over as President over the NCAA. He would get it right.

I do not think Saban will EVER fully retire. He may leave Alabama and leave the big spotlight, but he'll be coaching DBs for some Division III school for free when he's 85. Monte Burke's biography of Saban is the Rosetta Stone for understanding the man. He's a football coach, period, mic drop. It's what he does, it's what he lives for.

I wonder if he will continue to coach when he clearly doesn’t have it, like a Paterno or Bowden. I will love those seasons when they finally arrive. If they arrive.

Paterno and bowden had both long been more figure heads though, probably even by Nick's current age.

He survived Corona, so another 6/7 years.
Bama will continue to be a well oiled machine.
