He will be 70 in October. The grind of recruiting, practices , etc along with the media. Why not just go enjoy your golden years. He’s the goat no doubt but how many more years do y’all think he has until he retires?

He's healthy. Says he enjoying coaching. He isn't showing any signs of slowing down. He will be coaching for a while

3-4 years at least...he is happy doing what he wants to do, Bama is on a great run, and he is still competitive as hell.

I hope soon. Hopefully he's not the next Joe Paterno as I've been growing exponentially more tired of him each year

Saban is light years ahead of Joe "Enabler" Paterno

Thats the problem.... this is him enjoying his golden years.

If he retires, it wouldn't surprise me if he dies within a few years.

Wouldn’t shock me at all to see him coach another 10 years

They’re going to have to wheel him out of the building.

He’s just going to keep going until he literally can’t anymore (either physically or mentally).

I've stopped trying to guess when this will be... we've been saying "he's only got another 4 years, at most" for at least 5-6 years now...

I could see him coaching until he dies. Could you imagine Saban being retired?

At first I thought you meant a season where he goes 5-7

If that happens, he'll retire. His ego couldn't take a losing season of that caliber.

Yeah, he’s got that machine rolling and I don’t see him retiring anytime soon. I also don’t see him letting it slip like other older coaches at the back end of their careers.

I’ll be more curious to see how involved he’ll be in the selection of his replacement.

He's pretty healthy and still at the top of his game, so I can see him going for a few more years at least.

I could see maybe him hanging it up if he runs into medical issues or someone in his family does. But that's about the only thing I could see stopping him at this point.

Ya he definitely doesn't seem like the kind of person to go retire when he has a well oiled machine running

a normal human being I'd say was probably at the end of his run....Not him. I think he'd be miserable as frick in retirement
