You can make a strong case that the Vikings line improvement is the biggest jump any position group of players made in the entire NFL.

Not to sound like a homer but I think the New Orleans saints secondary holds this honor. By a wiiiiiiiide margin. I mean we fricking sucked hideouslyand have sucked for what seems like eons.

Nope, there is definitely a debate.

The Vikings are 4-5 if they brought back the 2016 line.

I know how much better the Saints are, and I think I would vote for Marshon Lattimore as overall DPOY, but a fricking offense with Case Keenum at QB, their starting RB out for the year, and a white DII WR is a top 10 offense and they look damn good.

Keenum has taken 5 sacks all season. Adrian Clayborn had six on Sunday. Kevin Hogan has take six sacks this year.

The Vikings line was 31st in the NFL at best in 2016 (Chargers were the only "competition").

Defense, stability on offense, and good red zone conversion rates.

You limit turnovers and do those things, and you end up in a lot of football games; toss in a playmaking defense that closes very well in big moments, and enough playmaking on the edges, and you *win* a good number of those games.

They'll win that division but if anyone expects them to make a SB run with Keenum then they're at least a high functioning retard

Rex Grossman got to a SB and Trent Dilfer won one.

Didn't they have a lot of injuries to their OL last year?

Yes. Totally decimated.

I do think the fact that two rookies start in that secondary (Lattimore,Williams) is significant.

also the last few years when the Saints have blown in the secondary, they were usually trotting out #3-4 options to start like BW Webb. Injuries forced them to.

there is no question that the Vikings O-line is way better though. When the Saints played them Bradford was only sacked one time and damn near hit on all of his passes. The blown interception on a tipped pass by Cam Jordan/Klein was a huge play in that game though no question.

I'd submit that the Saints D-line is just as improved as anyone during the Saints CURRENT winning streak. A lot of tipped passes and just general harassment on opposing QB's (without Nick Fairley) who contributed 6.5 sacks last year.

The Rams offense is also in the mix.
Jags defense.
