The knock against Brady throughout his entire career is that it was the patriots system and Belichick that creates his success and not his talent. How well does Brady have to play before retirement as a 43+ year old man to erase that narrative? Super bowl ring? Super bowl appearance? Playoff appearance with greats stats? What’s your take

I don’t think it’s possible. He would have to be so bad, that he would get pulled and wouldn’t play anymore anyway.

I don't think there's anything he can do at 43 years old to prove anything.

If he would have left New England when he was 33, then yeah this is a totally different conversation.

Its no so much of tom brady as it is bill.. tom is 43 and a mediocre qb now, reguardless of who he plays with. It will be on bill. If bill brings in a qb, and wins a couple superbowls in the next 4 or 5 yrs. Then the seat will be hot that brady was just a part of a great system

Bill going to take Winston to the Super Bowl and everything that Brady has done to solidify his GOAT status will be erased.

It depends on how good the Patriots look, combined with how Brady looks in a different system. His stans will just blame it on age, if he isn't as good

I think he could still prove something if he dominated. I don't think he will, but it would be another feather in his cap to make a team switch and dominate at an age no one else has.

More likely, he'll just be ok and it won't count against him because he's 43. You can't ding him for only being ok at an age only a handful of guys ever got to during their NFL quarterbacking career.

Imagine how much better Brady could have been with a guy like Sean Payton calling his plays.

Peyton Manning was the worst rated qb in the league his final season and couldn't throw the ball more than 15 yards. But he's still an all-time, all-time great, and this coming from someone who never cared much for him.

Some of you people are seriously in need of help over your Pats/Brady Derangement Syndrome.

1. Brady is fantastic.
2. I don’t think there’s a debate here. Playing 20 years for the Patriots is why Tom Brady is Tom Brady.

There’s almost no chance that he’s the certified GOAT that many think he is if he plays for any other organization. Which means he shouldn’t be the certified GOAT simply because he played for the Pats.
