If they were a West coast team, the media would be naming them the AP national champs...assuming this was still the BCS era.

If any of those writers have any integrity they will.
OU and Clemson lost to mediocre teams.
Gumps and UGA both lost to Auburn who UCF just beat.

I feel certain that the two CFP finalists, OSU, and Wisconsin will finish ahead of UCF. Depending on how the losers of the semis do, UCF could jump one or both of them. So #5 seems to be the ceiling.
