I legit don't even know the name of the conference that Houston plays in and yet the trailer dwellers got their head football coach nicked by them

Really unbelievable, mates

It was a mutual parting of ways. WVU made no effort to keep him.

Holgerson probably would’ve been nixed at the end of next year anyway. Likely saved wvu money and kept holgerson from having to search for another job of it did happen. I think it’s a good move all around

No complaints from me. We seem to have peaked with him as a coach.

Had a Heisman level QB finally in his system and we still ended up in the same spot record wise.

Change of scenery is good for everyone.

It’s the move Malzahn should’ve made.

Could you expand on what has happened between the school and Holgerson? From an outsider’s perspective, it does seem like an odd move to go from a power 5 school to a group of 5.

I dont have any insider info but our current AD isnt the AD who hired him.

He has one year left on his deal and next year will be a rough year for WVU.

As I mentioned he seem to peak and most likely would have been let go if we had a bad year next year.

Easy for both sides to part ways now.

I don't get the sentiment that Houston is this black hole of CFB relevance. Herman proved pretty recently that they can live in the spotlight. And Holgerson knows offense.

It's not. Other fans would just rather not see another Texas school with the ability to keep home grown talent.

He was getting fired next year, Houston did us a favor. Dana saw the writing on the wall and jumped ship.

What? Impossible.

I was told by the rant you need 4 years under contract or else it's impossible to recruit.

Just AINT too bright are you?

Guy says the coach has one year left on his deal and the team will BE BAD next season and you somehow read some non-existent shite into it and think the Rant led you astray.

Classic, you need to go back to the Rant.

Houston has made a lot of coaches look good.

Art Briles
Kevin Sumlin
Tom Herman

Not to mention they have two former coaches who are in the College Football Hall of Fame: Two innovative offensive coaches.
Bill Yeoman
Jack Pardee

They also had a Heisman winning QB.

The city of Houston is not a bad football town for a mid major to reside.

WVU should never have hired him in the first place. Bill Stewart warned them about Holgerson and I think that sounded like sour grapes instead of the truth.

Houston might be sorry about the hire down the road.

The one year left on his contract is wrong.

Dana Holgorsen sign an &18 million extension through 2021 two years ago.
