They recruit basically in the 40s every year, yet, irregardless of the coach, they still pump out numerous nfl players and draft picks.

From what I can tell, they've basically had as many or more guys drafted so far than Michigan, which has recently been a top 6-10 ish recruiter nationally.

There can't be that many overlooked white guys floating around and they all just happen to go Wisconsin. They've had some very athletic guys go so far.

Iowa is kind of in the same boat, especially this year, but they just don't win as much as Wisconsin.

Maybe recruiting rankings are just fake?

They’ve been a solid program for years. Can never seem to win the big game but they are always in the hunt in the BIG

Because Wisconsin is not nearly as bad of a program as the average SEC fan thinks

They are screwed though

Ohio State skull fricked them out of higher aspirations like 4 times in the last 15 years

UW is one of those programs that has an offensive system/identity that is above their HC and they look for a certain type for DC

they're all about developing and since everyone is on the same page, they can craft and polish gems

25 out of the first 32 players were 4 and 5 stars. Accept reality. It’s not an opinion. It’s a FACT

Is it a system that will ever win a championship? Highly doubt it. But it is definitely one that will win games and produce fine NFL players

To my knowledge, Wisconsin has two kids on scholarship from the suburbs. It’s like that any given year — Wisconsin doesn’t recruit Chicagoland as much as you’d think.

Because linemen are a thing?

It's either the big bubbas from the midwest, or the big bubbas from the south.

Wisconsin will fall short of the CFP most years, but they’ve been one game away multiple times since its inception. Just need that one year for stars to align, especially since Paul Chryst has started to open the offense a bit more. Of course, that is partly due to Jake Ferguson being the only healthy TE.

It would have been a great system in the 80s

But look at whats going on these days

Its the same handful of schools churning over the same platinum level classes

So many pieces have to come together for a good but not elite program. They have to win their division. Then they have to beat a team in the championship game that has a 1.5 star average talent gap. Then they have to win two more games against blue chip programs.

The first Wisconsin like program that wins a national title moving forward is going to be a party at that school.

About the only thing Gary Andersen was good for — bringing Dave Aranda and the 3-4 becoming a mainstay. Since 2013, Wisconsin has had eight LBs drafted, not including the two UDFA that were on active rosters last season.

Wisconsin is usually a QB away from being a playoff caliber team. Well that and maybe a difference-maker or two at WR and CB.
