I remember when we beat Houston in I think 2006, it generated a lot of excitement; I think that's when Houston had Kevin Kolb. Southern Miss was another good series back in the day

The point is: FBS teams don't play away games at FCS teams. Your plan is solid otherwise.

In 2011, Cajun Field experienced its highest attendance average of just under 30,000 per game. That was the same year LSU was undefeated and #1 in the country up until the 1/9 disaster.
Besides the G5 struggles, the creation of ESPN+ has given into the microwave society that we live in today. Why fight traffic and crowds when you can sit on your coach, drink your own beer, and watch the game on your tv or iPhone? I can't tell you the number of people I have talked to who would rather watch the game at home than drive to Cajun Field.
Now, the irony of it all is if we win on Saturday, we will have 25,000 travel to New Orleans for the New Orleans Bowl when most of those people had never stepped foot into Cajun Field. Oh well. It is what it is.
