"AUSTIN, Texas -- Texas football coach Tom Herman said Thursday that he's willing to talk to the NCAA about a 2014 visit to a Florida strip club with Zach Smith when both were Ohio State assistants.
Ohio State this week identified Herman as the assistant with Smith at the club, a visit that was revealed in a school investigation into how Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer handled domestic abuse allegations against Smith.

Former Ohio State assistant coach Zach Smith, who was fired July 23, tweeted "the truth will come out" about his ex-wife's allegations of domestic violence.
Ohio State has said Smith ran up a "significant bill" of nearly $600 of his own money at the Miami-area club in May 2014. Herman was the Buckeyes' offensive coordinator at the time. Ohio State could face an NCAA inquiry if the Buckeyes' assistants paid for high school coaches who were present.
"My wife knew exactly where I was, had no issue with it," Herman said. "I'm happy to cooperate, be honest, truthful, transparent with the NCAA if they so need me to be.
"I understand the responsibility that comes with being the head coach at the University of Texas. I take that responsibility very, very seriously. Right now, that responsibility includes me being laser-like-focused on preparing our team to win a game in less than 48 hours."
The No. 23 Longhorns open the season Saturday against Maryland in Washington.
Herman said he's had "some conversations" with school president Greg Fenves and athletic director Chris Del Conte. Herman would not address whether he or Smith paid for any high school coaches who were present at the strip club.
"Not until the NCAA asks me to," said Herman, who has been instructed by Texas not to address that specific question until the NCAA determines whether it wants to investigate the matter.
Herman left Ohio State to be the head coach at Houston in 2015."

Why is 2 grown men going to a strip club an issue?
I feel like the NCAA and the media are making a huge deal out of shite that is none of their damn business.

The Ohio State University is a pipeline for My New Orleans Saints.
Herman needs to BTFU and recognize, no prioritize importance here.
Are my Saints or his ego more important. His survival may depend upon it.
Having said that, i will ask my girlfriend tonight if she will be ok with me heading to Larry Flynts Hustler Club for a little T&A and see how she received this request.
Herman is FOS, his wife just found out like the rest of us and now it is clean up mode.

My wife is fine with known we usually hit up a few strip clubs on bourbon before saints games.
She's usually more upset that she couldn't come

My wife would not give a flying frick if I went to a strip club with friends. I went last weekend after our fantasy draft and she did not care.
There's a thing called trust. She thinks they're entertaining as well. Obviously neither of us stay a while or spend a ton of money, but they're fun as hell sometimes.

Good chance there isn't anything that falls under an NCAA violation anyways (at least a serious violation), and is there is then Herman would be likely implicated and releasing his name was irrelevant to that anyways.

But McMurphy's interview with Herman that just released that appears to be from Big 12 media days, a few days before the original story broke, is far better evidence that Herman was the tipster than some strip club trip years ago.

Urby and Herman are cut from the same cloth. Both are thin-skinned douches. Their falling out involves mostly Texas recruiting I think.
Regarding Ohio State confirming it was Herman at the strip club. Instagram sleuths had pieced it together and a subsequent FOIA request would soon confirm. Might as well put it out there.
IMHO, this "feud" is media driven.

It’s not that they went to a strip club. It’s that they might have gone with and paid for HS coaches who they invited out. Smith is probably going to say they paid those coaches to push kids to go to tOSU.
