They also postponed playing Texas and added Maine to their schedule instead. Granted, that game was also canceled but that just shows their lack of belief in their ability to defeat a team like Texas.

You should have to win your division. Needs to be a hard and fast rule.

Otherwise a second place team gets a bye and first place has to play a top ten opponent.

How do you get to the championship of you cannot win your division? I just don't get it?

If the playoff stays at 4 they should just give Bama an auto bid

I could get behind this. Better yet, just allow Bama to pick the other three teams. Change the name from the College Football Playoff to the Alabama Invitational.

Bama doesn’t lose multiple games in a season

OSU will always be in the same boat FWIW. They get spotted a loss at the beginning of the year. Clemson probably in that category too right now.

Committee didn't prove any such thing.

Central did not play a p5 with a winning record.

Didn't win the conference

How in the absolute frick are people freaking out THIS much about these 4 times that Alabama has made the playoff?

I was talking someone yesterday that was saying how awesome it was that they have won 5 out of the last 9 years.

I told him they have absolutely UNDERperformed the last 9 years... with the talent, coaching, and facilities they have they probably should win every year.

Call it what it is

Bama gets the best recruits
Bama has the best coaches
Bama has the richest history of winning
Bama has some of the best facilities
Bama's Athletic department is one of the most committed to football

Bama is ALWAYS going to be one of the best 4 teams in the country when it comes to talent and execution, so basically they are ALWAYS going to get let in because the committee can say they're one of the best 4 teams and ALWAYS be right, even if they have multiple losses.

If the playoff stays at 4 they should just give Bama an auto bid, don't even make them play a regular season.

You realize that if OSU had simply not lost to a mediocre Iowa (or even, lost by 1 score) bama wouldn't have made the playoffs right? Or wisconsin simply winning one more game? UGA/CU/OU were in regardless. All anyone else had to do was just not completely frick up too bad and bama is out.
