Whoa there, don't change what you said, then say that I disagreed with it.

Get your story straight before assigning words to me that I never said.

Well bring up an argument before you make a joke out of "Thabo is the best perimeter defender in the NBA".

When someone makes sarcastic remarks, it is easy to infer that you consider my statement way off base.

That is their respective rankings, not the actual # of DWS.

Defensive win shares are collected over time and considering Lebron plays 3 times as many minutes as Thabo it is quite obvious why he would be much higher on the list.

To show how flawed that use that as a metric.

See that Kevin Durant is 10th in DWS this year. Yes 10th.. This statistic is mostly driven by minutes played.

I didn't make sarcastic remarks.

I quoted you saying he was the best, and replied with "That he is not"

Wut...

Please re-read about DWS. You are looking for DRtg.

Advanced Basketball metrics are still light years behind Baseball. These rating lack important pieces like the ORtg of the player they guard etc. There is no UZR/150 type of statistic available for basketball for someone to make blanket statements about defense.

I for one love this matchup for the Thunder.

Only team that scared me out of the East was the Bulls until they lost Rose.

Shel asked me about the numbers, I included their overall ranking in the NBA, not the actual statistic ranked which is DWS and comes in decimal form.

That has nothing to do with DWS being a flawed statistic in this argument.

Don't you think there is a reason Sefolosha doesn't play as many minutes as other elite NBA defenders?

having battier and lebron be able to switch on durant all game AND having bosh there to abuse perkins is a definite worry in this matchup

brooks' reluctance to bench perkins will be a big deal in this series, imho

One look at his ORtg makes that perfectly clear.

He only has a specific role, and if the other team does not have a high usage rate player. Brooks elects not to play him as his lack of shooting ability clogs up the driving lanes.

Can't like being last in the NBA in turnovers against a team like miami.

That's gonna be the key to this series, OKC turning it over or not turning it over.

Why? The Heat matchup better with the Thunder than just about any other team in the NBA (not saying they're better or even as good, but they matcup much, much better than Boston would have)

Yeah Brooks does seem to stick with veteran guys too long on the floor sometimes. Fisher and Perkins sometimes log big minutes for seemingly no reason.

However, in tight games Brooks has shown he will go with the correct "lineup". Like Perkins playing only a few minutes in the 4th and keeping the small lineup on the floor.

Agree 100%, however they have made great strides in the playoffs in the TO department. However, Miami plays at the same kind of fast pass that might rush guys like Westbrook.

They completely flipped the script on all the turnovers which lead to the 4 straight victories against a team that had won 20 in a row, and hadn't lost 3 games all season lot alone 4.

Well the Heat have 2, Brooks is going to have a big decision to make in the series. Use the 1 advantage they really have of size, or go small the entire series?

No. Teams with depth and good post play matchup great with Thunder. Spurs, Grizzlies, Bulls, Clippers, etc.

I dont think Perkins really brings much to the series. The Heat dont have a post player that Perkins can defend. Better off letting guys like Collison play that can get out to the jump shooters like Bosh.

the heat will iso perkins against bosh as much as they can in this series and this will be clown shoes

brooks likely wants perkins in the paint as an enforcer against wade/lebron driving
