Have we talked about ESPN’s Top 150 CFB players being the worst list of all time?

LINK
Andrew Luck is ranked as a better player (64), than both Tim Tebow (76!!!!) and Vince Young (81)
Reggie Bush is ranked 61st, and should probably be in the top 10.
Those were the worst ones that stood out to me right away. Cam Newton being 137 with arguably the best CFB season of all time was pretty hilarious as well.
Seems like they tried too hard to fight recency bias, and valued pro careers more heavily than college ones with a lot of players.
Any other terrible selections that stood out to y’all?

Lists are dumb and one encompassing 150 years will be dumber than most

Still think the coaching ranking one having Paul fricking johnson higher than les miles is way worse

Can't believe Casanova was not included.....3x All America. Twice 1st team
Was really surprised on the exploits of Tom Harmon from Michigan.

Jim Brown is #1 on the list but somehow he was voted behind a lineman in the 1956 heisman. Shame on those voters.

No problem with the Top 3 but Barry Sanders should be in the Top 3.
And OJ at #25 is a joke. Should've been the first two-time Heisman winner but fricktard voters back then weren't giving out the award to Juniors.
Until Burrow, OJ had the record for the most first place votes (855) and largest margin of victory, winning by 1,750 points. (OJ still has the most 1st place votes in history.)
And speaking of 2,000 yards...Marcus Allen was the first back in history to rush for over 2,000 yards in a College Football season (2,342) and he's #40??????

That list looks like a Baby Boomer's wet dream. Not a single player that played college football after 1988 made the top 20 and Peyton Manning is the only post 1988 player that made the top 35.

You and I both know why he didn’t win the Heisman that year.

No McFadden... List is shite

Ricky Williams at 57 with 20 running backs in front of him is a joke.

Tommie Frazier is at 97 and is arguably the greatest option QB of all tine.

Peyton is top 35.
Danny Wuerffel who won a natty (2x appearances), 4 SEC titles, a Heisman, rewrote the SEC record book, and went 3-0 head to head against Peyton...not even ranked.
Something like 15 of the top 20 are RBs, just complete bullshite.

Holy frick that is so bad. I maybe get punishing Newton for only one year, but then they don't reward Tebow for 4 years? 67 for Tebow??? Wtf. He broke the #2 player's rushing TD record as a fugging QB.

Paul Hornung won, he wasn't a lineman.
wafer boy bias

They were dumb to make it a ranking, especially with something so subjective and spread out over so long a period.
They should’ve just done a top 10 and then had 11-150 just be a non-ranked group of players.

Dude had 3/13 td/int on a 2-8 team. Wtf? Tell me it wasn’t a popularity contest back then.
Btw, Jim Brown was 5th in voting that year.

The top 11 was a bunch of WWII vets. It’s the same thing with the NFL lists. The people who make these have the opposite of recency bias.
