Has the Heisman come down to Tua Tagovailoa and Dwayne Haskins?

It seems like these are the two major frontrunners with West Virgina's Will Grier and Oklahoma's Kyler Murray on the outside looking in.

We still have half the season to play, but it looks like Tua and Haskins have separated themselves from the rest of the pack.

Kyler is number 2. Having a better season than Haskins. Everything is much better for Murray in terms of QB rating, yards per throw, and the rushing stats aren't even worth a discussion. Haskins has better bulk stats but that is just because he stays in the game later.

However, it's definitely Tua's to lose at this point.

Tua is on pace for about 40 TDs in about 6 games of playing time

He will collect his Heisman and assume the role of Bodhisattva, leading the entire universe to enlightenment

Here's a video of him headbutting some Tongan drums

Kysman looked pretty good yesterday in leading that comeback, stats weren't too shabby as well and they didn't lose to a bad team by a ton this Red River Showdown had Big 12 championship implications, he shouldn't automatically be eliminated due this game's outcome HOWEVER had they completed the comeback with a W I mean thats his Heisman moment in a sense, dude

Last year at this time everyone said that Saquon Barkley was a shoe-in.

Tua is almost a certainty at this point barring injury or embarrassment at LSU.

Saban would love nothing more than to be able to say had a Heisman QB so he will do his best to engineer stats needed to make it happen. Just insane how much better he is than every other coach in America.

I wish you guys would cut it out with the premature shite like this.

On this date (10/7) in 2012, Geno Smith was coming off a game against Texas and almost everyone said he had the Heisman locked up. WV was 5-0 and Smith had 25 TD's, 0 interceptions, and 2000 yds passing.

He finished the season without a single Heisman vote.

Completion % on roughly 50% more throws against better teams?

Haskins didn't play the second half in half of his games. He just throws more often and completes at a better rate.

It's Tua's to lose regardless of what Haskins does. As long as Tua doesn't completely fall apart down the stretch, it's his. I mean AJ McCarron was the Heisman runner up as a lifetime achievement award for being Alabama's QB.

With a likely 7 games remaining before the Heisman vote, I'm assuming a minimum of 11 touchdown passes. I'm tossing in a 3TD game, several 2TD games a 1TD game and potentially one where he doesn't throw a TD pass. That gives him 29 touchdown passes...

He's averaging 249 passing ypg so far and I know he hasn't played most second halfs but I'm going to bump him down slightly through the next 7 as he should face better defenses 230 ypg. Added to what he's already got, that's 3,105 yards.

That doesn't make sense.

If he's playing better defenses, the opponent will be in the game longer and he will have more snaps, which will equate to more passing attempts and yardage.

Heisman is so 1950's.

OJ murdered the Heisman prestige when they found his on the side of some freeway in LA.

Media further ruined it when we discovered how barely any pay attention or watch any CFB during the season before they vote.

As Beano Cook famously said: "he was voting for Casey Palmer because he beat Notre Dame on national TV."

Casey? Heisman voters couldn't tell you who was the starting QB for Oklahoma today.
