It’s just not nearly as interesting as it once was. Partly because the Saints suck. But it’s much more than that. It’s just watered down nowadays. I haven’t watched many games outside of Saints games the last few years. I could probably count them on 1 hand. I didn’t even bother to see who was playing tonight because I just don’t give a shite. Anyone else feel this way?

I’m enjoying watching Joe Burrow and the Bengals. Almost feels like watching an LSU game.

I never had much interest to begin with. I would watch casually but it’s hard to imagine dudes getting paid multi-million dollar contracts to play a child’s game really care that much

I'm still interested enough. The NFL does have a few issues though.

Refs are generally bad.
Can't have big hits anymore.
Teams appear to be poorly coached overall.

It's an over officiating game in general with no consistency with how each referee interprets the rules. Hard to watch with marginal penalties constantly being called.

Haven't really cared that much about it in over 10 years.

I quit watching in 2016, 2020 and 2022. Occasionally my remote gets possessed by some type of poltergeist (probably sent by the marxist NFL) and levitates slamming into the ground so hard that it flutters back and forth between cbs, fox and NFL redzone. My leftist neighbor unfortunately keeps me abreast of the Saints by flying his giant fleur de lis flag after wins. Haven’t seen it too much this year

The draft
Injured reserve
Salary cap
Vegas
Officals
Even players

The league has been one big fix for years. Its not football.

Ncaa is head and shoulders better

Not at all

I’ve gained interest. There’s a major influx of elite young QBs and it’s refreshing

My interest is way down this year. Though admittedly that is mostly because the saints suck

CFB fans post this sort of stuff all the time on this board and yet the ratings keep going up...

I don’t have the same interests in pro sports since the players I grew up with retired. I still watch the games but I don’t have the same passion for it. College football is the only thing I still have passion for.

Officiating is terrible now.

There are too many games. Sixteen per team was perfect.

The open dates run too late into the season. Last week of the fantasy football regular season and six teams are off.

There are too many teams. The NFL was better with 28 teams. I don’t like the Raiders being in Vegas and I have no use for the Panthers, Jaguars, Ravens and Titans. And I wish the Houston team was called the Oilers.

It’s moved into the “I’ll only watch the playoffs” zone along with MLB and NBA

“Illegal contact” 5 yards auto first downs have truly ruined the sport. The refs just decide to call it on random third downs or plays that would have been sacks on INTs and it’s maddening to watch.

Over half the time three a big play/stop in the NFL you just wait for the little yellow marker to pop up.

Certainly there are elite players as skilled as any who have ever played. But the over all quality of play is way off the last 5-10 years and getting worse
