A baw's baw.

Ryan makes Ventura his bitch.

Watching him kick Robin Ventura's arse never gets old.

That was 30 years ago.

Nolan Ryan has SEVEN (7) no hitters - the next closest is Sandy Koufax with four (4).

No one will ever sniff let alone touch that record...

Also 12 one-hitters. Dominating. Intimidating.

He can probably still hit 90 on a warm day.

I heard today that he said recently that he can still touch 80.

I believe it. Dude is/was a freak.

Nolan changed the game. Every MLB exec was like “what if we just find guys who throw gas? It’ll make up for all their shortcomings..”

Power pitchers are everything in baseball now. If you can’t throw 95+, you’ll never make it long term

Mrs Ventura, you don’t have to downvote

Robin has done the signings with Ryan and cashed in on his moment

You can let it go

It's not even that as much as it is throwing every pitch at max effort, which has led to all the arm/elbow injuries. Most of today's pitchers don't know how to scale it back and only throw max effort when necessary.

That, and kids snapping off curves/sliders as 8 year olds. Kids should not even be allowed to touch breaking stuff until they are 12/13 yrs.old. Fastballs and change-ups only.

It’s also cool that he was a true small town Texan and then played for the two Texas teams

And yet the guy never won a Cy Young. Only in major league baseball folks.

When he took the mound he EXPECTED to finish the game, and was really perturbed when he didn’t.

I saw some interview of Ventura in which he said that once he took that first step towards the mound, he had 1 thought in his mind:

"Oh, f---! What the hell am I thinking?"
