-Gundy is known not to see things eye to eye with Pickens.
-Tennessee is, historically, a better program than Oklahoma State. Oklahoma State is always second fiddle to the University of Oklahoma. Although Tennessee has struggled lately against Vanderbilt, they are still the premier program of the state.
-I assume recruiting is much easier in Tennessee (Memphis, Nashville, Chattanooga, Knoxville, and the close proximity to Atlanta).
-Maybe Gundy is comfortable with Oklahoma State's expectations and is well-paid. Tennessee plopping down $7 million probably wouldn't be content with losing to Alabama, Georgia, and Florida every year. Oklahoma State is fine with beating OU and Texas every so often.
