"Middle-away, hit it over the right field fence."

"Nope, warning track."

You just know Maddux was a cocky SOB but he could back it up. Miss watching him pitch.

Cocky might not be the right word but he was in a class all by himself and he knew it. He touched 90 very early in his career but he was a pitcher in ever sense of the word. I've still yet to see another pitcher like him. The way he worked hitters in the early innings to set them up for their 2nd and 3rd at bats. The goofy way he wore is uniform. It was just the whole package. If you saw him on the street and din't know better you would've thought he was grocery story produce manager or something.

Considering it's Maddux, I opened this thread expecting Bryant to find shite in his shoes or boogers smeared all over his locker.

I see a lot of the same traits in Kyle Hendricks that I saw in Maddux. Of course, Maddux is the legend he is, but Hendricks shares the same stature, unassuming looks, awesome control, ability to change up his pitches and confuse batters, and he's not going to overpower you.

That was pretty good.

Maddux is the GOAT! My favorite player of all time
