The name of Roberto Clemente listed only ONE time on this thread, sigh.

The guy was GREAT.

Better than Aaron, Mantle, Robinson.

No worse than the equal of Mays.

Clemente's lifetime average is higher than all those guys. Won four batting titles.

Um, you didn't include Pujols in that list. Your list is invalid.

Vladimir Guerrero should be in the conversation. There was no where you could place a pitch that he couldn't hit.

Shorten it to 5-6 and I'd add Don Mattingly. Best hitter in MLB for a 5 year stretch before the back issues. Should be in HOF for his best 10 years even with down numbers from back issues.

Yeah I deleted my post. I remembered that all wrong. Could have swore there was a player where that was the case

Also looking back at the records, Jim Thome is 8th all-time. I didn't realize he hit that many home runs.

“All around” means more than BA

Mays and Aaron are up there really high as all around hitters.

In fact, if we ignore the Babe’s pitching prowess the two best ALL around complete baseball players are Mays and Bonds

But the GOAT is Will Clark

True, but I loved how aggressive he was. Guy wasn't afraid to swing at the first pitch and would tomahawk the ball if he thought he could get a hit out of it
