And if the Jags had made a better play call and punched in the 2-point conversion vs Houston he would have already engineered two game-winning drives in the final minutes.

That is amazing.

He reminds me of someone, too bad he needs a better coach

His TD pass to Armstead after evading 4-5 sacks was really impressive.

And he’s playing behind a crap offensive line. Kid had some limitations but he isn’t going to beat you. Jags probably make the Super Bowl a couple of years ago if he was qb instead of Bortles.

It's still way too early to have regrets about signing Foles, but I wonder if the thought has at least crossed the GM's mind after seeing Minshew play.

My favorite part is he essentially gave up on his playing career and was going to Bama to be third string and get a start on a coaching career before Leach convinced him.

Guys like Minshew make you wonder how many potential solid players are out there that just need a chance.

I think about this all the time. No telling how many potentially great players fell through the cracks because of where they landed.

What’s even crazier to think about is if the Washington State QB doesn’t commit suicide, Mike Leach never calls Minshew in the first place.

I call it the Jake Delhomme effect.
Tons of QBs that don't look as good in "practice". So, they don't win the starting job.

But when they get a chance to actually start or play in the game, they straight ball out.

Why? Foles wasn't crazy expensive and they are paying next to nothing for Minshew.

Nah. He'd have been laughed out of a job if he had put the team in the hands of a 6th round pick.

Minshew's emergence has to be as much of a surprise to the Jags as anyone. If they thought he'd be this good, they wouldn't have waited until the 6th round.
