the other team played for a chance to go to the SEC championship, and got beat 26-14. I guess if you are the best team you shouldnt have to win ur conference tho

The butthurt around here is glorious. And I hate Bama, but the mouth breathers are out in full force today.

Can a team win without playing for one?

Ohio State did it to themselves. Lost by 30 points to a plodding white boy Iowa team. Inexcusable.

what the hell are you guys talking about Iowa for? they would be in with a loss to Iowa if they scheduled Mercer instead of Oklahoma. the OOC loss is why they didnt get in. 1 loss Ohio st big 10 champ wouldve been in for sure.

its great for college football when scheduling a really tough ooc opponent and losing is 1000x worse than scheduling and beating mercer ooc

the team that would have been next in the playoffs after Bama lost to 31 to Iowa.

Ohio State lost to an unranked conference opponent by 31.

You do realize the Iowa team that destroyed OSU AT HOME is the same Iowa team that defeated Iowa State which defeated both OU and TCU? You know this right?

That's some advanced transitive property.

Well they scheduled OU and got dominated on their own field. That's a very bad look.

maybe to some people. others actually realize football games are pretty random, can beat a team by 30 then lose to them 3 weeks later. i'd rather teams schedule top 5 teams and lose than play shitty FCS schools just to pad their record. i'm certainly not gonna act like beating Mercer makes you better than a team that loses to Oklahoma. UCF should be in the playoffs if all the matters is beating cupcakes
