“A physical ailment that affects the nerves between the neck and the shoulder.”

“TOS affects nerves between the neck and shoulder resulting in abnormal functional movement and range of motion, thus severely limiting Markelle's ability to shoot a basketball. TOS is treatable by physical therapy."

That truly sucks, I hope it works out for the kid. Figured he didn’t just lose his skills. He had a nice jumper in college. No one just forgets how shoot that badly.

On the bright side Lonzo is becoming a top defensive PG and he’s still has elite passing ability.

This like Aunt Jan at Thanksgiving who's always on disability for Fibromyalgia and refers to it as "My Fibro"

Harvey had vascular thoracic outlet syndrome (sort of common in pitchers) and had a decompression.

Neurogenic is a milder form of TOS and harder to diagnose... so Fultz may not actually have it.

That’s the medical term for “The Space Jam aliens stole my talent and there’s nothing I can do about it until they give it back.”

I've been living with neurogenic thoracic outlet syndrome since the age of 7.

It has to be more than that. He was a good shooter at UW and you can see a natural motion at times now. Other times, it looks like he can barely raise his arm.

It's hard for me to believe he lost 15 years of shooting muscle memory in an offseason.

Only if you weren’t terrible beforehand. Sorry, YMCA baws.

It’s a compression of the brachial nerve. I actually sat as a juror on a medical malpractice suit where a guy claimed he had it after a hospital worker during his surgery didn’t remove the strap around his arm before they tried to move him. The issue was sometimes there’s no particular cause. It just happens. But you can lose function of your arm depending on the type/how bad it is.
