it's typical duke matador defense where K (or Capel, following his lead) has Duke's slow guards overextended 30-40 feet from the basket so that the opponent's faster, athletic guards can blow right by them. He loves guards who are savvy on the offensive end but guys like Allen and Kennard give up so much on defense. Either commit 100% to the press or pack it in and cut off penetration. Wafting somewhere in the middle like this gets you gutted.
