FSU will likely finish the season having played five ranked teams:

Clemson, Miami, Florida, Maryland, and VTech.

Doesn't matter. If 2011 taught me anything it is that a "quality loss" > quality win. FSU has none.

Fact remains, there is nothing FSU can do to jump an undefeated Oregon team.

Most overused term ever. You might want to brush up on logic because my statement follows deductive reasoning.

I'll try and avoid the cliches, but what is the deductive reasoning behind what you were saying? You are treating the initial poll as if it was a scientific fact. My point is, the poll should be different every week. That Alabama started #1 doesn't mean they should remain there just because they haven't lost. Which is not to say they should be disqualified because they started #1. Just that it should be re evaluated each week. At this point, 7 weeks into the season, Florida State has by far the most impressive singular win. That win, plus the rest of the schedule imo means that they should be #1. It's not the Bama or Oregon "dropped" it is that FSU has moved up.

They don't want any part of FSU or Oregon.

Alabama would demolish Oregon; FSU on the other hand... Winston just won't be denied.

Scientific fact and logic are two different things.

1. All defending champions that are undefeated shall be ranked #1
2. Alabama is the defending champion and is undefeated
2. Therefore, Alabama shall be ranked #1

I think FSU and Bama are the two best teams in the country. However, both teams have a weaker schedule than Oregon. . Miami is stinking it up again. If that's the toughest game of the year for FSU, then FSU will have played nobody this year.

FSU should be #2 like MO should be #8.

Doesn't work that way though.

I think FSU should be #1 actually and Oregon #2.
