It's the oldest high school rivalry in both Louisiana and the South....5th oldest in the country. Hopefully, Gormley is packed by both sides.

No it’s not. People from New Orleans always say this. Homer vs Haynesville will play for the 113th time this year.

That year's East St. John - Jesuit playoff game is one of best high school games I've ever seen

hc Jesuit is the oldest continuous rivalry (played every year). Homer and Haynesville have had a few years where they didn’t play

pretty sure the year they didn't play was before HC and Jesuit started playing.... but the dean of LA HS football writers in shreveport is pretty adamant the claiborne parish game is the oldest... and a few years ago even a NOLA sportswriter changed his story after posting - that he was incorrect... The HC jesuit rivalry may be the oldest in another sport but not football
