We laugh because you’re a mentally weak bitch that let their silver ponytailed professors brainwash them. What else did they make you do.

Man. Do not be so naive.

In most of the area, chinese people make $1/hr, they are happy.

Also they want to work overtime and in the weekends because they get paid more. They will have more money to bring home.

If a company only allow them work 40 hrs a week, they will quit the job.

What does Cuckboi Steve Kerr have to say? Or is he still too busy speaking out in behalf of transgender Muslims in Detroit being targeted by “white racists in MAGA hats”?

If you're going to count China in Southeast Asia then I get to claim Japan and South Korea.

I'm also not entirely sure what your point was. Saying that the going rate in that region is the reason American corporations are manufacturing there isn't accurate imo. Most of the countries listed as well as Vietnam have similar communist or communist lite economies. Their wages are kept artificially low from their governments in order to attract American business. The 'going rate' is practically agreed upon between China and Nike, Apple, etc. without the voice or choice of the workers. That's not capitalism. It's just corporate greed.

the going rate is what it is because they have millions of unskilled workers who want the jobs... economics 101. unions don't work when there's a glut of labor and jobs are easily transportable

You are out of your element.

Are unions not intended to help control capitalism?

in case you did not notice i stopped answering you, because you just using ad hominems, instead of talking about the facts i told you and presenting me with a valid opinion.

i dont usually have debates here for no reason.

im looking for others to prove me wrong in my opinions, without attacking whatever other beliefs i have, that just proves you cant win the argument and you have to recur to checking comment history.

how about attacking my opinion?

instead of just making assumptions.

for all i care you could be anything too, and i would not judge you for i dont know you, or what you have been through.

but your opions im willing to discuss, and if they are right and make sense i will change my mind and learn.

if you are not willing to do that, and you are here just to be spiteful, and your only ways are those, then i know i should not even care about what you say or think.

then i let you win, and give you the trophy.

i gave you my honest opinion.

this entire situation revolves around globalization and capitalism.

yes a totalitarian, communist nation that allows some trade is a great example of capitalism

and globalization is good. the last time we had something like this in China, all we got was 1 grainy video of a man stopping a tank. China still denies Tiananmen Square (which is 30 years old now) occurred

the ONLY thing that can save China is more free trade, which will lead to more freedoms (like this HK issue)

American corporations using de facto slave labor in China to manufacture their products isn't capitalism. It's collusion with a communist regime to avoid capitalism's supply side. They're more than happy to compete over customers but are unwilling to compete over employees. So they enter agreements with communist countries to pay people $.25/hr in horrible working conditions.

Meanwhile NBA players are more than happy to accept shoe money covered in blood.

sweatshops are pretty much always improvements over the actual alternatives

Expanded business plus the Olympics ended toppling the South Korean presidency in the 80s when international pressure kept him from brutally crushing protesters in the runup to the Seoul games.

If it were going to happen to China, it probably would have happened in relation to the 2008 Olympics.

Urinate on the US and the flag but do not dare criticize an oppressive totalitarian communist government.
