To be fair, some of those teams have been around just about as long. A couple of them have big swings and misses in their history-- but congrats to the Raptors.

As a Charlotte Hornets fan, props to them. I don’t know how the Hornets will ever win one. Looking back, if they could have kept them together and healthy, the core of Grandmama, Zo and Kendall Gill might have been able to do it. That’s probably my own bias.

Outside of that talent, I don’t see any other era of Hornets’ basketball that could have eventually won a title. Sadly, I’m talking about a team from 25 years ago, yikes!

I’m a hornets fan too and I disagree
Just because of MJ/Bulls

They wouldn’t have beaten them, and in the two years he wasn’t there they didn’t either

Spurs are the only former ABA to win an NBA title. ABA doesn't count. It wasn't really a merger, it was an absorption. Those 2 Nets titles were thanks to Dr J, one of the few great players in the league. Even though the Nets were one of the 4 teams that joined the league, the NBA forced Dr J to switch to an established NBA team. Because it was a takeover of a marginal league, not a merger.

Then the title and OP should've specified.
