This Christmas, FOX Sports shares the gift of John Madden for all who love football, with its original documentary ALL MADDEN. The tribute, premiering Saturday, Dec. 25 at 2:00 PM ET on FOX, leads into the network’s marquee matchup from Lambeau Field where the Green Bay Packers will host the Cleveland Browns (4:30 PM ET on FOX).

Earned. Madden was a staple of my childhood and the video game which carries his name has entertained/enraged two generations worth of teenagers.

How is his health? Is he still lucid? Does he do interviews? I haven't heard from him in a while.

I'll forever be greatful that he and Summerall were still around when St. Louis football became good. I grew up with the Brookshire-Summerall duo, so they'll be number one for me.

There's a picture of him in a wheelchair with Ronnie Lott at his side.

He revolutionized video games.
Shame what EA has done to the series in recent years.

Yup. If you have to list the most important figures in the history of the NFL, the top 4 would have to be Paul Brown, Al Davis, Bill Walsh, and John Madden. The sport would be completely different without the influences of any of those four men.

I had no idea he was still alive. Wikipedia says he's 85.

No list without Don Coryell is complete. Bill Walsh would be a guy without him and the fact that he’s not in Canton just further proves that sportswriters blow something fierce.
