Apparently they cannot justify the cost. Leave it to espn to swoop in and over pay for the championship rights of the only P5 conference yet to win a playoff game.

That’s a condemnation of football without defense

I’m like 90% sure it was on ABC this year.

2018 is an even year. Fox had rights to the odd years

Yeah cause TV people hate offense, they’d much rather 9-6

It’s a pointless game since they have the best way to determine a champion, but the problem for the Big XII is it only has 2 marquee and teams and only 1 State market that matters. Texas and OU will have to bail at some point

I predict that they pull in UCF/USF (maybe both) to try to pull in the large Florida TV markets.

Why do people say this? Why would they have to leave the conference they are kings of?

Because it’s I don’t think financial viable going forward, the way TV deals are paid will change going forward with streaming and I’m not sure how that will work as far as teams/conferences getting paid but I don’t see enough games outside of their game against each other that moves the needle. We’ll see

9 - 6 sucks. 56 - 53, game after game gets old fast. Like 5 bags of candy corn

the Pac 12 is in worse shape than the Big 12. Worst P5 conference in both football and basketball and the teams out there have little fan support

College football has a problem, the PAC is pathetic, the Big 12 is a one maybe another one other random team here or there conference, the weak 10...LOL. That leaves the ACC and the SEC where a lot of the teams reside in the south east of the US where people down there just care more about college football then the rest of the country.

College football is the worst sport there is, it's dying very slowly. You can't have sports with out tournaments and they still don't have one.

See you Sunday for real NFL football!!

One step closer to the Oklahoma Sooners joining the SEC.

When OU and Texas leave the Big 12 will probably merge with the AAC

No one wants to watch a track meet between teams that have no defensive players. It's not as fun as the big12 thinks it is.

Quality of play has nothing to do with it, that can and usually does change
