With covid a lot of storylines had to be missed because there were separate bubbles and rules for how the filming could be done.

I thought some races had to be skipped all together because filming rules in some countries just didn't allow it.

That’s certainly fair. It seemed like all of the season took place at the 2 Austria races, Monza, 2 Bahrain races, and Abu Dhabi.

But the williams change and russell Mercedes race both happened at tracks they were able to film, because both were mentioned(very briefly) on the show.

I assume they shot a lot of footage, and found the stories they wanted to tell mostly after the fact.

Finished, was a great season aside from the last 10 min of Hamilton and his SJW shite...

I’m not quite done, but I think it’s as good as season one.

The final episode is really good. They're really figured out a formula that works. And the way the shoot the race is cool.

Lewis Hamiltons sequence was annoying, but they also put it at the very end of the episode.

When he started diving into a politics, I just hit the stop button. And called the series done.

I binged DTS S3. It’s solid and I’ve become a fan of F1 due to this show.

It’s seriously good marketing for the sport.

DTS is also the reason why I started watching F1.

But specifically vettel to aston martin and Ricciardo to mclaren? No way vettel is going to play #2(or not #1) to Lance stroll, but Lawrence stroll is obviously going to want that.

I think Vettel is broken. He may or may not be able to be fixed. Time will tell, but I think the first couple races should give us an idea of where he and the car are at. Lance isn't great, but he's better than a lot of people give him credit for. Seb is there to teach Lance. He's an expensive tutor, and I think he knows that.

Zach brown treats Norris like a son and Norris is viewed as the future of mclaren. Ricciardo’s ego is way too big to let that happen.

Mclaren brought Ricciardo on to keep the pressure on the rest of the midfield. DTS also touched on how Brown wants Norris to learn from Ricciardo. I think they'll be a good combo.

I finished up DTS this weekend. I wish covid hadn't gotten in the way of filming some things like Turkey, Mugello, and Russel/Merc, but then again we wouldn't have had those thigns if it weren't for covid. Episode 9 was the standout with Grosjean and Perez.

And where the frick was Williams in this season? I know dead last isn't all that exciting, but damn, the company sale was huge news. They showed Claire like twice.

I don’t disagree. But I’d also say he isn’t ready to believe or accept that yet. And beyond him just clearly not giving a shite last year, I think 2019 proved both when leclerc was clearly the better driver and had to be held back several times to preserve vettel’s ego.

Again, I know covid threw a huge wrench in the season. But russell/Mercedes and Perez winning were the same race, and clearly they were able to film there. I don’t see why they couldn’t have made time for russell/Mercedes somewhere in the season. Not necessarily in that episode because both grosjean and Perez definitely both deserved that coverage. Maybe taken 10 minutes out of the gasly slurpfest? Or not spend quite as much time on racing point and how everyone except Toto hates them now?

Definitely with you on this

The Russell story would have been such an interesting one. It's like the perfect Netflix drama without having to manufacture it. He the chosen wonder kid of the next generation, but he is cursed when it came to scoring. He got dicked at Mugello on the restart, had a bonehead safety car crash at Imola, and got screwed by his Merc crew at Bahrain (though he did get points there). Hindsight being 20/20 and all that.

Season 3 was good and has me pumped for Bahrain.

Excited to see new drivers.

Will admit I didn’t pay attention to any preseason testing though, so going in blind.

Just finishing up S3E1 and popped in the thread to say “ Screw Lewis Hamilton and his disingenuous ‘Cash is King’ quote.”

Where does that prima donna thinks the cash came from to have paid his ridiculous 2021 salary demands?

Ugh.
