The issue is that people assume he will have absolutely zero improvement for the rest of his career.

of course he can improve. but good WR's can't catch balls that skip to them.

you're being a homer.

He is what he is. His ceiling isn't very high. He can improve somewhat. Playing in the AFC west could buy him a few years cause that division is putrid .

I think the Lions a few weeks ago exposed him. Good front 4, explosive offense. 45-10 or whatever it was.

Miami and NYJ even exposed him too through 3.5 quarters. He came out on top in the end but damn you can't ignore how bad they were up until the final drive.

I don't think he can become a great QB. I'm not even sure he can become a good QB. But at this point it seems like him becoming even a mediocre QB in the NFL would be a big victory against these people claiming he's the worst starter in the history of the game or something and doesn't even deserve a shot.

So will 99% of the players in the NFL

Wrong, you dont watch much football. And how can 99% of players outwork everyone!?

2. He will sell out on every play he plays.

Again, so will 99% of the players in the NFL.

Thats funny.

Yeah its more than a cliche. Guts was enough last night. Did you watch his winning drive? Was he suddenly a better QB? Luck? Its an intangible which is a real thing.

To clarify things for your slowness. I said Tebow was a good role model. I didnt say Brees wasnt. Get it? There can be more than one.

I don't think Tebow will end up being a legitimate starter in teh NFL but I find myself rooting for him anyway

He is such a kinda douchey nice kid with no deceptiveness that you can't help but like him and root for him

I would probably have even more mixed feelings if I were a Denver fan. They are going to have real issues deciding what to do with the quarterback situation in Denver again this offseason and probably again the year after

What is interesting is that the standard for evaluating Tebow is changing.

At first, the argument was that he wasn't good enough to win games. Now, the argument is that the winning is not sustainable. But, if you listen closely, you are starting to hear the argument that he won't win championships. That's a totally different standard than when the criticism started.

Like Tebow or not, he has ALREADY proven a lot of people wrong.

Nope. Doing it one game is one thing.

Putting your team in that position continually will eventually catch up to you. Your ignorant if you think otherwise.

Here's what you need to know about Tebow:

He's terrible...but he is kind of a weird asset, for a terrible team like the broncos he is really a plus, fans love him, they suck anyway, but no chance he ever starts for a good team. also in a way a really good backup QB, his game is so different if teams were not prepared could be useful

I'm not saying this to defend Tebow, but Big Ben does this shite pretty routinely.

If Elway had retired 2 years sooner he wouldnt even be sniffing Top 20 QB lists. He's a bit overrated as it is. Jim Kelly for example was a much better QB.

Sam Bradford is leading the Rams to about 10 pts a game on offense and he's got a top 10 RB on his team. I don't see the ESPN segments debating how much he sucks.

Soph you are a hater and it has nothing to do with saying he's a terrible QB. You're a hater because you actively root against him. That's pretty much the definition of a hater.

I mostly agree with that

not in a malicious way because I find myself rooting for him. But I never watch a whole game with him and come away thinking he is a NFL quality QB
