Soph you are a hater and it has nothing to do with saying he's a terrible QB. You're a hater because you actively root against him. That's pretty much the definition of a hater.

I don't actively root against him.

And the only people I hate are his fanboys.

Exactly.

He's very entertaining to watch, but he's not a quality NFL QB.

I do not disagree at all.

Just thought the graphic was interesting.

The irony is that the two years that he is overrated from he was more of a game manager letting terrell davis tote the rock. Now he was far and away a better passer than tebow but he is overrated because he was the qb on two super bowl teams that relied on its running game.

Could have fooled me. Before the game yesterday you said you wanted the Broncos to get shutout.

Big Ben also has the talent to erase that if they need points fast. Horrible comparison

Tebow's led a few comebacks this season alone. For what its worth, Big Ben is clearly better than Tebow.

But Tebow has led comebacks in this season alone.

This happened with VY also. People were very insistent that he was good. He just never was.

Yes, because it would shut up all the Tebow fanboys.

I've got nothing against Tebow. It's just the people who want to think he's the reason they win.

yep

relying on late fourth quarter miracles week in and week out doesn't cut it in the NFL ... consistency is what matters

and he has zero consistency

No, people whose arguments consist of his record as a starter, or "he just wins", or "he works harder than everyone else", or "people hate him because he's Christian", or "people hate him because people hate white males", etc. are the fanboys.

Pointing out that he's a terrible QB is not the same as hating a guy. Curtis Painter is horrific, and I don't hate him.

I'm not saying this to defend Tebow, but Big Ben does this shite pretty routinely.

Go watch Big Ben play. He is doing a lot of things right with a dreadful O-line. He makes some mistakes sure, but he is definitely helping his team achieve a desirable outcome the majority of the time. This post was more relevant about five years ago.

Tim Tebow has over came every obstacle that has been put in front of him. So whether or not he has an excellent NFL career or not...This guy deserves the utmost respect.

Tim Tebow is America! Hard Work and perseverance. Good for him

That comment wasn't related to talent.

It's about "putting your team in a hole."

Ben does it a lot. So did Favre. And Elway.

Which is why their reps as "comeback kings" is a farce IMO.

Does he play football? I hate when people's leading arguments are... "you clearly haven't watched him."

He's having a nice year.

He's thrown for 20+ TDs twice in his career. He's passed 4k yards only once. It's not as if he's lighting the world on fire.

Ben is a fun player to watch. He keeps a lot of plays alive with his feet and he's tough to sack. One of the funnest to watch IMO.

That being said, he gets a ton of pub for leading comebacks, when he plays like shite for 3 quarters and then has to rally his squad, who has been kept alive by his bad arse defense, at the last second.

eta: This is more a commentary on the poor logic of labeling QBs as "comeback" guys. Tebow isn't very good IMO.
