Lewis says Haas is the team to watch after the Big 3, will the Americans make some noise or finish back of the mid-pack again? I feel like it's time to knock Merc off it's perch! 10 minutes after Midnight Saturday lights out....

Ferrari, led by Vettel, is the only shot the field has against Hamilton

I'm a pretty big Verstappen fan, but Lewis is the crème de la crème

Is the race in St. Pete not F1?

F1 starts in Melbourne

St. Pete was IndyCar and already happened

Haas was very surprising in testing, but who knows who had their sand bags out in full force. Hopefully owning pretty much the main WindTunnel testing company in be world can finally pay dividends for Mean Gene and his flying Frenchmen.

Turn One when the lights go or should be wild, drivers have been complaining a lot about not being able to see w/ the new flip flop in front of their faces.

I don't expect anything but Merc dominance.

It's also moving to everybody's favorite network ESPN.

ESPN has the season rights now? Does that mean no more angry David Hobbs?

ESPN is just going to use Sky's feed.

No more Hobbs, which makes me sad. I've been listening to him for years.

Mercedes looks like they're going to dominate. The Red Bull / Renault / McLaren competition should be interesting, though, assuming any of them finish the race.

Ferrari for life hope they can knock off those pesky Mercs.

I think Red Bull might be legit if they can squeeze enough horses out of the Renault. Their aero is second to none. But I'm with you pulling for Vettel. I just hope he doesn't show his arse again this year. I've never been so disappointed in a driver as when he rammed Lewis behind the safety car.

Of course I hope Haas has a good year too. I wouldn't be surprised if Magnussen has a better year than Grojean.

100% agree, but unless they find some hidden hp, they'll remain #3... but they do have the drivers to compete for the championship

Massive cheap shot... I agree

Magnussen has to get better at qualifying... hes a more consistent performer and probably a better racer

Grojean is too much of a rollercoaster... qualifies decent, and when he's on, he's on... but when he's not, he's really not... he needs more consistency in his race performance to really improve

As I understand it, he's a very good test and development driver, something that a young team needs.

I assume the new F1 Streaming service won't be released by race time this week since we've heard nothing from F1 about it?

In other news: Indycar Moves to NBC Fulltime for 2019

Indycar continues its upward trajectory, and will have its own exclusive pay service on NBC Gold. Interesting that they only signed a 3 year deal to not tie themselves into long-term streaming rights while technology continues to rapidly improve and change. They can learn and improve while piggybacking NBC's digital tech before jumping into it all on their own.
