wonder if it makes sense in hindsight that Max should have pitted with say 20 laps to go, put on some fresh softs, served his penalty, and then chased back into a good position to pass botas at the end

I think he has a better chance doing that than he did passing HAM and getting 5 seconds ahead.

Before the season Ferrari was predicted top runner...that kind of blew up like LSU's pre-season #1 rating...

Jean Todt and Ross Braun aren't walking through that door.

If Red Bull is forced to pit for their 5sec penalty that could make Vettel follow suit and then make Merc actually have to defend.

Don't know if forcing penalties during the race is the right move. Maybe gives it a truer feel.

Canada.

I honestly think Ferarri challenges here.

Is it weird that I have started to pull for Verstappen? He is like a 1 man team right now.

Since Ferrari keeps screwing up, Mercedes goes unchallenged, and who cares whether Hamilton or Bottas wins. Verstappen challenging Ferari is the only excitement ahead of the mid-field.

Let's remember one of the most exciting F1 races of recent memory, the 2011 Canadian Grand Prix:

Vettel on pole. Finally, maybe a non-Mercedes will win a race!

I want to be marked as 'called it'

Think Merc gets Hamiltons car gets dialed in for the race tomorrow.

VER, could not have happened to a better a-hole. Get to see him fight through the field and watch Red Bull make Gasly give him points/spots.

I have been slowly following and trying to learn about F1. I have watched a couple races this year and it has been kinda boring with a 1 team domination that has been going on. I also started watching the Indy Car series and there has been some great races so far. I know Indy and F1 isn’t the same but I’m finding Indy more enjoyable.

And for the 2nd race in a row, Hamilton is gifted a 5 second penalty to help him win.

Propped-up punk.

It really is unbelieveable the luck Lewis has, not only is merc the best by far but they get gifted breaks like this all the time

VER was already behind HAM when they crossed the line in Monaco. And VER was in the wrong there.

VET got a screw job just now. I have no idea what the stewards wanted him to do. Isn't so much about the rule, but more about how did they want VET to avoid the situation.

Feel bad for Vettel. I don’t have anything against Lewis but I’m tired of him winning lol
