If you're driving with illegal stuff, why are you speeding?

I'll never understand, break one law at a time man.

Too many damn laws in this country these days. This is legal, this is not, this is legal on Tuesdays from 3pm-7pm, that is illegal on Sunday afternoons after on leap year's when the groundhog sees doesn't see its shadow, etc.

Agreed. But....the west coast is very dry in summer and absolutely ripe for wild fires...

Dumbass had at least 200 pounds of fireworks and the bomb squad had to come take possession of this shite.

So based on weight, you think it apropriately designated illegal?

Just because the "bomb squad" was called does not mean they neede to be called. People do like to justify their existence.

Firearms are a gateway weapon to fireworks.

To get home and off the road faster.

Makes perfect sense.

Wildfires in the West are a huge problem. They try to limit the problems as best they can.

I designated it "illegal" because the stuff they were pictured taking out of his car looked like missile packs, which are the kind of stuff banned in LA County.

That's not even going into the assumption that the only people buying 200 pounds of "safe and sane" fireworks, per California definition, would be wholesalers because no one else wants that many damn snakes and sparklers.

States have different rules. It's why you can smoke in WA and not talk on cell phones while driving in CA.

First dog-fighting, now fireworks. Athletes can't even have good ole clean fun anymore.
