SOUTHINGTON — A group of protesters blocked an entrance to ESPN’s headquarters off West Street late Monday, hours after an ESPN anchor was suspended for two weeks for comments on social media that “reflect negatively” on the company.

Police were called to ESPN about 11:55 p.m. Monday, Lt. Stephen Elliott said. There were about six protesters blocking an ESPN driveway. Police told the protesters that they were on private property, and the protesters left without incident.

Mike Soltys, a spokesman for ESPN, said the company respects “their right to protest peacefully.”

“Our focus was ensuring ESPN’s normal business operations weren’t interrupted,” he added.

ESPN is violently squashing the rights of these peaceful protestors.

And yet, "protesting on privately owned stadium grounds should not be discouraged" - ESPN

There's not much to do in Southington, CT at 11 pm. The street lights aren't even on anymore.

I mean does anybody really think, a non-paid citizen...someone who isn't a left-plant...would actually take a day off work and protest for Jemele Hill?

Maybe you feel that way b/c you are crazy?

Not everyone works a 9-5 Monday through Friday. at being paranoid enough to think these people were paid to protest for Hill.

Look at them marching with the American flag. Today, people want to light it on fire and disrespect it.

It's not being paranoid, it's being logical and faith in human beings. Westboro Baptist Church - I would understand. They would have some really weird reason...But I'd understand...that's what they do.

It's Jemele Hill! This has to be fake news...nobody is protesting shite for Jemele Hill.

It's either fake or people were paid.

It's Jemele Hill!

If the left is going to protest everything that results in sanctions by attacking the President...well that signals...Soros. Libs are crazy...but you gotta get paid to go out for fricking Jemele Hill.
