If he only won one title, he wouldn’t be HOF. You kind of have to accept him with 2 though.

Not sure if serious.

Handled the toughest media market with class and ease with two Super Bowls in tow on his way to retirement. Will be some interesting debates when he’s up for the HOF. The backend of his career will clearly hinder him more than any other modern player

Eli will be a nice test case. I think there are a lot of people who don't consider him a HOFer.

He's a career compiler who put together 2 great playoff runs. That's it. He was never, ever considered a top 5 QB, and I don't think he was ever a consensus top 7 QB in his era.

ETA - Not just his era, but any individual year. I genuinely don't believe he was ever a top 5 QB in any particular year. His best season was 2011 and he was probably the 7th-8th best QB that year.

I say he gets in because the people who vote him in respect him, the franchise he played for (who is owned by one of the families who created the NFL), the market he played in, and he won 2 SBs

What's crazy is that anyone would actually believe he'll be a first ballot HOFer.

Eli may have a case for the HOF but he's not getting in on the first ballot. He'll wait a while.

Good. Hang out with your kids. Shine your two SB rings and whenever you see Tom Brady at any NFL functions, give him a smile.

HE can sit back and laugh at the HOF debates that will start now worse than before.

He'll get in first ballot because of two titles, NYC, and being a Manning. He'll also benefit from them not wanting to create a logjam in front of him with actual first ballot HOF QBs who won't be far behind in retiring(Brady, Brees, Ben).

Same with Fran Tarkenton and the Minnesota Vikings.
