Dwight....I know you dont read this board, but please go to Houston.

I want next season to be a throw away season and focus on 2014

I have no problem with Pau moving to the center position next season and playing out the final year of his contract there.

I think he's just trying to save face and give them one last shot with a foot out of the door. Basically "I gave LA every chance I could and it wasn't going to work out"

And I'm a Lakers fan...he gone

you know, now that i think about it...that may be the case. rose only won that MVP b/c he as from chicago, and the chicago media guys wouldn't stop fricking talking about him that year. dwight was better and more valuable to his team

but, then dwight doesn't want to go to los angeles b/c he doesn't want to go anywhere but NYC so i could be totes wrong

Posted this early on July 1:

Despite all of the news out there, I will be very surprised if Howard doesn't resign with LA. I can't see him turning down the extra 30 million they can pay him. There will be reports about how he is "blown away" by the Lakers presentation and he'll talk a lot about how his teammates and the billboards swayed him, but he is resigning for the extra money (which would be hard to turn down for anyone).

Although I never would have guessed he would actually announce another team like he did today, I think everything else will hold true. He won't say it is for the extra money but it obviously will be. I can't imagine he is going back to tell them no in person so if he is actually flying to LA, he is signing with the Lakers. Just another horribly handled situation on Howard's part if he ends up signing with LA.

Howard is going to be a Rocket unless they amnesty Kobe and/or fire D'Antoni.

Either way I find this entire event/non-event highly entertaining. Literal popcorn.

How much of this flip flop news today is really Dwight Howard's doing though? He hasn't said anything publicly. He can't help it if some members of the media have bad sources.

Exactly.

But when it comes to Howard on this board, you won't find much unbiased opinions.

Either way, I'll get a huge kick out of the reactions of Rockets and Lakers fans if he re-signs in LA

Yeah I don't see all these news sources running with it based on nothing. Likely not official word from him but definitely from his people.

Pelitards were saying it was a horrible move and he'll implode the Rockets, so we should be happy, right?

Maybe Howard is pissed that he wasn't able to announce where he's going to the world himself.

So now he's back-tracking just as an F you to the media.

I'm surprised teams are fighting over this drama queen. If I'm the Lakers I'd pack his bags for him

I would guess it is all Howard. It is a lot more likely that he changed his mind than everyone (all news organizations reporting this) having bad sources. How many bad sources have you seen in the other signings the last few days?
