Failed experiment by Dannen. At least he acknowledged it in today’s presser. Dannen came from Northern Iowa so he should
be able to find a small school gem of a coach.

I can't understand why Tulane has so much trouble finding success in hoops. Even the last few years of the Perry Clark era were bad.

At some point you'd think we can nab a corn fed big man and a solid point guard. Wouldn't have to be blue chips if they stay four years.

Dylan Osetkowski probably would've been around all-conference level in his career but he left after Conroy got fired. You'd figure a team with him, Reynolds, and Frazier could've been pretty good last season.

Normally when you lose two players to the NBA, and have a lot of younger talent, I agree he deserved another year.

How’d he do with 2 nba players?

Shocked that the administration had the cojones to pull the trigger, especially with big donors behind Dunleavy, but it had to be done. Dannen's hires have been a mixed bag so far but the overall athletic department is on sounder footing than when Dunleavy was hired (despite the basketball team's woeful record this season). I am hoping we can get a top notch assistant. The AAC is a great basketball conference with multiple teams in the big dance this year.

I'd like to see them hire someone like Andy Kennedy. He's a really good coach that would do well there.

Would be a great hire for Tulane.

The Middle Eastern cab drivers in New Orleans would have their head on a swivel too.

Dannen needs to make Rick Pitino say no.

Do it!

I always root against Tulane, but they should be better in basketball. There is talent within 5 hours of New Orleans and with their money you would think they could recruit nationally as well.

I know every private school can't be Duke, but still Tulane should be better in basketball.

Long-term, Tulane needs to really consider going to the Southland.

This isn’t the worst idea I’ve ever heard.

It would certainly improve the non-existent attendance at the football games.

Tulane would finally be competitive again in sports, and actually relevant, to an extent, on a lower level. Imagine Tulane football making a run in the FCS playoffs. Would be a whole lot more interesting than anything else they’ve done in the last 60 years.

It is a terrible idea.

It would hurt attendance. You don’t know what you’re talking about in regards to Tulane.

Tulane has an undefeated season and wins against LSU in the last 60 years of football.
Just stop talking.

Tulane is far too good of an academic institution to be in the Southland.

A lot of people don't understand conference affiliations outside of "that football team is bad, they should move to a worse conference." Tulane will struggle to dominate the AAC, but they fit way better in that conference than the Southland.

Tulane is just coming off a bowl win and is primed to have a great season. God you people sometimes!

The whole argument that Tulane football can’t compete in the AAC is stupid considering they just tied for first place in their division.

Basketball is going to be a difficult rebuild. Tulane has been shite for so long and Fogelman is a dump. It can be done, the AAC is a good mid major conference and there’s a lot of talent in the area, just going to take some time.
