Drexel Pulls Off Biggest Comeback in Division I History After Overcoming 34-Point Deficit

Anybody know a good Delaware message board? I would like to see the meltdown.

Tramaine Isabell posted a double-double and made two free throws with 2.2 seconds left to give Drexel a 34-point comeback win over Delaware Thursday night for the largest come-from-behind win in the history of Division I basketball.

But what stage?
College basketball. LMU outscored Michigan one time 40-5 or something.
Didn't Billy Packer say a Final Four game was over when Kansas jumped out to a 40-12 lead.
And Carolina got to within 4 points with 10 minutes to play?
Sure Carolina didn't win but the moral is it's modern basketball - big leads aren't really big leads in the traditional sense.
Someone overcoming 34 points in basketball feels like someone overcoming 17 points in football. Not a biggie.

Delaware is the Algonquin word for Falcon.

34 is a fricking lot man. Especially at the collegiate level. It definitely doesn't translate into a team over coming a 17 point football lead.

That was a good thread.
The biggest comeback previous to tonight's game occurred the day I was born by my favorite team(didn't know it then). Down 31 with 15 to play. Wow.

Still doesn't erase the pain of that game.

It’s like blowing a 28-3 lead in the Super Bowl

Who cares? Drexel and Delaware are basically irrelevant in the grand college basketball scheme, 24 years ago Kentucky overcame a 31 point deficit against LSU a Division I team coached by Dale Brown at the PMAC to win, that surpasses what Drexel did

If a team can score 40 points in 8 minutes?
Why not?
Can a football team score 40 points in 8 minutes.
Basketball teams have. Stop acting like this is some big deal.
We've all seen runs of 35-5. Shite nobody watches college basketball on this board?
This is not remotely a big deal. It would take 60-10 game in the 2nd half and the 10 teams wins to impress me with all the shite and crazy comebacks I've seen in CBB and by major teams...where it's not just a "gym game." It's on the big stage like Kansas-Carolina or LMU or Louisville or UCLA when they scored like 30 unanswered points back in the day.

This is the best I have seen the team play all season, offensively and defensively.

Best half of Delaware basketball I can ever remember. However what was once 34 point lead is now 19

Doing all the things necessary to blow a 34 point lead. Turning it over in the press, a four point play, missed fgs. Up 10 with 5 to play

Huh? This was the largest comeback in d1 history.
17 pt comebacks happen all the time in football.
Are you high?

If I have to explain to you how a UK team overcame a Dale Brown-coached LSU team’s 31 point lead at the PMAC surpasses Drexel vs Delaware in the context of COLLEGE BASKETBALL, you are literally too stupid to respond to

Dayum that beats 68-37.

Once down by 34 points (53-19), Drexel defeated Delaware tonight 85-83. It is the largest comeback in Division I MBB history, breaking a record that stood since 12-30-1950 (Duke beat Tulane after trailing by 32).

LSU’s 31 point lead was with about 15 minutes left in the game. To Kentucky. This 34 point lead was in the first half.

Amazing that people want to argue about the biggest comeback in d1 history
This is a numerical fact.
Talk about style points elsewhere
