Partially his own fault, by having some really bad games vs top SEC teams.
But everyone knew he could make every throw on the field, had a lazer arm, and could drop dimes in a bucket, but he had to prove he could become more accurate and do it in big games.
He took heat from fans for having those bad games and making some really bad throws, but he never whined, cried, or even took shots at fans, guy went out and gave everything. Wish nothing but good things for him, true son.
