I can't see anyone breaking that hits record.
I say he should be enshrined. What do you guys think?

Shoeless Joe Jackson's request was turned down last year. That was the 1919 world series he cheated in.

Yes. All of the disgraced players belong in the Hall, albeit in a big arse exhibition about the shame of baseball.

No. Unlike all the steroid guys, Pete was expressly issued a lifetime ban. A lifetime ban is a lifetime ban. He can get in posthumously.

I agree with this. The HOF is a museum. Pete Rose is definitely one of the most "famous" people in the history of baseball. Put him in and let his plaque tell everyone how he became one of the best players ever to hit a baseball in the first paragraph, and follow that with his fall from grace about his illegal gambling. Leaving him out does a disservice to the history of baseball. I feel the same about all of the proven steroid users who are HOF worthy.

The lifetime ban is from MLB. The HOF currently has a rule stating that no players on the lifetime ban list are eligible for induction, but they can change this anytime they want. Personally, I think the HOF has this rule as a cop out to avoid the negative press that might come along with possibly inducting a player who is on MLB's banned list.

Yes. The day after his death. Sorry Charlie.

Yeah he cheated with an almost flawless WS. He was guilty of ignorance, not about cheating.
Rose deserves HoF if for no other reason than the hypocrisy of baseball owners/commissioners.

WWE HOF for sure
I think he's already in there
And yes, once he dies, he should be let in. Pete, could of kept quiet, and waited, but instead, he's running gambling shows, gambling tips, selling shite right outside HOF property, and just continuing to be a degen.
So let him go in, when he passes, wont be too long.
