Yes, but his playoff record will be something he will carry into retirement tomorrow.

The answer to your question is yes, this thread can end now.

I'm feeling chirpy now.

His legacy will survive, if slightly diminished (unless he stages an epic comeback next season.) His o-line's legacy, on the other hand....

He's the best QB ever, so yes.

You might want to pump the brakes...

Dafuq? Both positions are universally considered game managers. It's a perfectly valid comparison.
Comparing basketball and football in any way is ridiculous.

Yep, always everyone else's fault that he has only won 1 super bowl, and that was against the Rex Grossman Bears

Eh? Where did I say that? I said his legacy will survive, but slightly diminished, because one game doesn't define a quarterback of his caliber. And if you watched the game at all (and know anything about football) you had to have noticed how awful his line played tonight. As bad as his play has been, his line's play has been worse. I'm a Vandy fan...trust me, I have no lost love for former Vol quarterbacks.

Sometimes the o-line isn't gonna be perfect. It's not their fault the guy is a statue and can't complete a pass over 10 yards. Half the qb's in the league can be all-world if their line gives them 5 seconds to throw the ball every time.

Sorry my good man, but negative. Top 5 with Montana being the best of them all.

Eli Manning's legacy will survive. It will be tough.

Won't even be a blip on the radar.

No. If he won all three Super Bowls he played in there would definitely be an argument, but his postseason record has killed him...

He is the greatest REGULAR season qb
He is a choker in the playoffs.
It's weird, his weakness is his brother's strength.
Eli plays awesome in the playoffs, beats the patriots and Tom Brady, clutch as frick in superbowls.
It's too bad Eli during the regular season is no where near as good as peyton is during the regular season.

Clearly Peyton Manning is the most overrated QB in history. He can't run routes, block worth a shyt, he has lousy vision out of the backfield when hes carrying the ball and he's the worst safety in history. I can't believe he can't beat teams single handidly.

i don't think he was in the top 5 to begin with, but that's me ...
he's still a hof qb with a super bowl ring ... and a pretty good all-around guy ...

This is true. His playoff record is his downfall but overall his stats are outstanding.
