ESPN Sources: The 76ers have fined Ben Simmons $1.4M for his absence from four preseason games (360K each) and levied numerous team fines for missed practices, on-court workouts and meetings. He hasn’t earned any money since returning to the team on October 11.

It takes two to trade. And I think you could argue that no team like that would touch him with a 10 foot pole if this is how he's acting

Can someone photoshop Embid holding Simmons down while the rest of the 76ers beat the shite out of him? Thanks

The only way for BS to recover his reputation is to fire Rich Paul and have a press conference denouncing Klutch and saying he was brainwashed. Then show up to practice and play hard.

Honestly he could tank his value so much that he becomes affordable to Miami / LA / NY / Dallas. It might take getting suspended this whole season but honestly what's the downside at this point? He's already more than halfway there. May as well keep on going rather than winding up in Memphis or Detroit or something .

It's always amusing when a player demands a trade and then proceeds to act in a way that makes it nearly impossible to trade him.

76ers out there feeling like

Planned move by him and Rich Paul. Report back so he can get his money then act like a dumbass so he doesn't have to play and they're more motivated to move him.

This is what Jalen Ramsey did in Jacksonville. I hope every sports league addresses shite like this in the next round of CBA negotiations.

you figure these multi-million (billion) $$$ teams would take that into consideration before drafting a guy.

Like the great philosopher Mike Singletary said: I want winners.

So it is conduct detrimental to the team, but they have fined him because he showed up. They never said he had to be in shape.

The NBAPA is going to have to act like they care. They are also going to have to fight for reducing suspensions in next CBA that there must be a process or whatever.

I am sorry, there is a lot to fight on this one. I do not think he should be paid, but as of now, the NBAPA is going to have to say something, either support or not support. Sixers can say it is an internal matter, but they made it public.

He was refusing to participate in practice, it had nothing to do with what type of shape he was in

Did they say he had to practice or just be there? I am asking because that is 2 different things. I thought they just said he had to report.

There’s no way he’d do anything but sulk in Minny NO Memphis Houston Philly Detroit Orlando Charlotte etc etc.

He’s going to wind up getting his way in a destination city like Mia, NY, LA, or Dallas - just watch

It should be to most, but in contracts and him trying to get out, he is going to go by exactly what they say not what they infer. I am sure his agent has advised him not to practice because that is not what was asked of him to get his money. That is why I asked if the NBAPA will get involved and what the Sixers have told him to do.

I do not blame Rivers for suspending him one bit I am sure 99.(% of coaches, posters, etc would have had same reaction to this.
