DK would have beat every single LHSAA 100m champ by about as bad as he got beat today.

According to a very cursory glance here

LINK

LSU has someone with a faster 100m that signed just in 2020

Ehhh...it wouldn’t be top 70 in the NCAA this year

Much closer than what I thought. I expected him to run a little slower. Most really fast football guys don’t have the technique or sprinting strength to continue to accelerate past 65-70 meters. DK started to struggle around the same mark, but was much better out of the blocks than I anticipated.

Ncaa athletes are much further along in their training cycles than the pros are right now, and Metcalf.

The fact that he wasn’t dead last in a professional meet that’s good enough to be put on tv is respectable in itself. More people would’ve guessed he would be slower than Richardson than he would’ve beat 2 people.

Meh I’m not gonna defend my comment. Mid 9’s was dumb to even throw out and I now realize that. This is why I don’t mess with sprints.

10.36 is good though. If he’s focus training on it he’s probably be a 10.1 - 10.0 guy

I based the comment off of think sub 10 wasn’t that high of a standard anymore. I literally don’t fool with sprints at all so that came from literally no idea what I was talking about.

I think both sides were probably vindicated with this result.

Metcalf showed that football guys can hang with track guys on the track.

NFL Hofer Bob Hayes personal best was 10.06. HOFer Darrell Green 10.08. Willie Gault 10.10. There is mutual respect between the 2 sports. There is really nothing to prove.

Amusing that NFL players from decades ago( above) would absolutely smoke Metcalf & most modern players that fans/ media slobber over.

They weren’t 6’3 235

And nobody ever said Darrel Greene and Willie Gault couldn’t fly
