Metcalf, the Seattle Seahawks wide receiver, drew the second of two 100m heats at 3:40 p.m. ET at Mt. SAC in Walnut, California. Peacock airs early coverage of the heats from 3:15-3:55 p.m. ET.

The nine fastest men out of 18 from the two heats advance to the final at 5:03 p.m. during the NBC, NBCSports.com/live and NBC Sports app broadcast from 4:30-6 p.m. USATF.tv also airs coverage from 2-4:30 and distance events that start at 10 p.m.

Prediction: 10.68. Too much muscle and bad form out of the blocks will be too much for him to overcome.

That embedded tweet from Acho showing his start looks rough. That is probably what will separate him from the field, I agree.

I doubt there are 10 NFL players that could run sub 10.4 currently.

The poster on here who has made it know he ran and coached college track said he will run in the mid 9.9s

So yeh, it shows how easy it is to lie on the internet

I was a 7000 point decathlete in college and there is no way he is truly competitive.

DK finishes last in his heat, but he ran a good race. Much better than I thought.

10.36 with a legal wind. I’m impressed. He popped up too early, but if he fixed that he’d run 10.25 today. That’s still over 1/4 of a second from even being considered for relay duty.

Yea, Pedro should be banned from speaking about track and field ever again.

10.36 is actually a very respectable run from metcalf and way better than most track and field people thought he would do.

Is slower than most state high school track records in the US, by a considerable margin.

Genius coach calls him Olympics good

DK would have beat every single LHSAA 100m champ by about as bad as he got beat today.

Still a very legit time, especially for being so big.

I think both sides were probably vindicated with this result.

Metcalf showed that football guys can hang with track guys on the track.

Finishing 15/17 and nowhere close to making
the final against a pretty weak field shows there’s still a wide gap between truly elite Olympic sprinters and football guys.
