I’d generally agree but this event wasn’t worth the 50 bucks

I’d never buy their ppv hell I wouldn’t even illegally watch a bunch of fixed fights

Even if you went to court for pirating, how could they prove that you the individual watched it and not someone who stole your vpn or anything like that?

I believe whoever has their name on the internet provider would be responsible.

Which seems silly considering several people could use your internet.

I wonder if it's kind of like someone else driving your car and getting a camera ticket.

So then you're cool with people just stealing Natty Light?

So the internet service providers are just going to hand over that info, huh?

I hear that they are going to contract with Red Light Ticket companies to send the demands

Don’t be linking that bail bond GoFundMe on the OT after being forewarned.

They're allegedly going to sue the VPNs and obtain IP addresses in discovery.

I hope they try

I guess this didn't do the PPV buys that they were hoping it would

Then don't fricking watch it? That would be the equivalent of thinking you can go to the store and steal cracker jacks just because you hate the taste of nuts in your mouth.

I had about 20 people at my house that night. No telling what those people watched on their phones.

People who illegally watch streams care about the fight, but not enough to pay for it. Fine them, zap streams etc. and those people just won’t watch the fight. The end result is the same: $0 made.

bullshite, if they didn’t have illegal streams to turn to some of those people would have certainly buy the fight. We even had users here saying they paid money for the illegal streaming services themselves

whatever the frick Triller is

So, Triller was initially founded to be the replacement to Tik Tok when it was going to be banned. But, for reasons I still don't understand, it was not banned, so Triller wqs kind of fricked. They had a ton of capital investment by people like Snoop Dogg, so then they began putting on fights. The Tyson-Jones fight was their first broadcast.

So, if you want to know why Triller seems like it's aimed at loathsome, self absorbed social media addicted 15 year olds,.... It's because it is...

1.45MM ppv buys, it did damn well. It’s smart for them to call out the illegal streaming. It will only get “worse” if you allow it to happen without a fight.

It’s an interesting ethical dilemma. I think most people would be against stealing $50 or whatever in a store. I don’t think many people view stealing tv like this as a problem
