Did the Pac-12 present incorrect data to member presidents in order to cancel season?

Looking like much of the data presented to the Pac-12 folks during their August meeting, which led to the cancellation of fall sports, did not match what their claimed sources had at the time. According to this article from The Oregonian.
Higher positivity rates shown in the presentation for member counties than the dashboards actually had. Most egregious was Los Angels County presented as 19% when it was actually just over 5%.
Who's responsible for this frick up? Conspiracy?

Who really gives a shite anymore? Especially when were talking about the so called conference of champions that nobody cares about . Hell ,they don't seem to even care about sports in general out there.
I could go without seeing another thread about the pac 12 or big10 ,and be just fine. Lol
So sick of analyzing who voted, did they vote, who has the power in the situation, who's suing who.
Just give me the sec in 8 days and I'll be happy

None of the numbers mattered anyway ,they were gonna do whatever the big ten did, regardless of the medical statistics that they received. They probably didnt even check those numbers

Heaven forbid people try to discuss sports about other conferences on the More Sports Board. Hahaha.
But I hear ya. Thought it was interesting that they basically used bogus data to "help their cause" of stopping sports.

Start with Gavin Newsom, Kate Brown, and Jay Inslee.

The west coast is an entirely different breed. Them canceling was actually what I expected. The big ten was the suprise if there was one. Surprised the PAC is even trying to play with the loons running things out there. At the end money wins as always so them caving is no surprise either.
I do love the fact that academia is beginning to grasp that they aren't the ones that matter in the end. If only the NCAA could figure that out then college sports as a whole would benefit. No sense in keeping up the charade of education meaning anything to the majority of the kids that play major sports. Most wouldn't even be in college if they couldn't play sports.

Maybe, but now some of those areas have the additional (and obvious) worry of air quality and travel issues with the fires.

What idiot would believe a 19% positivity rate?
