I doubt many people are having this problem. Most either know the player, can clearly see the name on the jersey, or actually watch the game with sound.

You seem upset.

LOL. If they keep this up it will not be long. Sports are a cult of personality. Get rid of the players and what is it? Who cares?

Yeah, a little. The *Virtue Signaling Olympics* has turned a really simple game into something that I need a spreadsheet to watch. How lame. But somehow people that just want to watch the game are the problem?

HOT TAKE: If you need sound to watch an NBA game then the way they announce the game is the problem.

Maybe he likes to have the sound on so he can hear the roar of the crowd.

Oh wait...

How did “Free Hong Kong” fare in today’s game?

I think virtue signaling is lame as well. I just don't really care enough to be affected by it. Just me personally. Like I said, I get not caring for it.

How do you know there's a problem with the way the game is announced with no sound? CC?

I'm pretty sure Lebron is officially ok with human slavery and the destruction of the Uighurs. As long as the NBA can continue to profit off of China it's all good.

Maybe I like hearing the sounds of the game. Might be weird to those who would watch a muted game.

With no proper name placement on the jersey it's all just a big AIDS salad instituted by the NBA. The NBA has created this problem, therefore, the NBA's policy is the problem. If you goad every player to shite on their own brand to publish some trite, BS slogan then the NBA is complicit (if not whole responsible for ) the stupidity.

They won't let you go to any games, they took away everyone else's ability to go to the game, the atmosphere in the arenas is gone, they vomited social justice messages everywhere and you still watch and try to convince yourself that it's just as good as before and that you can still enjoy it.

I don't know what that has to do with the question quoted. I've already said I get that people won't care for it, but I guess you just need to vent. I'm sorry you have to see this? I don't know what else to say

Minus actual fans it's the same game. Not hard to understand unless you're arse deep into politics and get hurt by seeing something you disagree with.

OK. I have spent 51 years being able to watch a game with no volume. Now, I need volume to hear about who made the goddamn shot because all of the players are putting trite, bullshite slogans on their jerseys where their name *should be*.

If it's ok with you then whatever. It just all bores me and makes me much less likely to consume the NBA's product. I don't care to have to cross-reference *Say Her Name* with a player. Just put your fricking name on your jersey.

HOT TAKE: I watch sports to see sporting shite. Everything that is happening in the NBA is horrible virtue signaling nothingness that doesn't mean a fricking thing.

Sound good?

That's weird as hell to me. Not knocking you on it, just couldn't see myself ever doing that.

Well the names are the same font, size, and color as the slogan. So you can still watch without sound but next time don't let the butthurt limit your vision.

Yea it's no big deal to me.

This would be an excellent time for LeBron to tell Nike he wants his shoes made in low income areas of the United States to help inner city families. It will never happen, though.

And how stupid to you need to be as a player to just take a huge shite on your brand? If nobody knows that you are doing well/you are kicking arse, how does all of your hard work mean anything?

I mean, if as an NBA player you need to have your name on the back of your jersey for people to know who you are, you don't have a brand worth a crap anyways.

I don't understand any of this, names on jerseys isn't really a universal thing. The Yankees don't have names. But we all knew who Jeter was. You could just look at the number. It kind of bothered me for a half or so. But pretty easy to just ignore it..
